Mixes were completed for the new Sandra Bernhard record due out in Summer 08. Producers Janko R. and Ted Mason put together an eclectic mix of world music and rock to go with Sandra’s distinct voice. Rocky Gallo mixed the tracks on the SSL 9000J.

Benji and Joel of Good Charlotte spent time in studio B writing for various artists including an amazing collaboration with Matisyahu. Jeff Swart engineered the sessions.

Australian artists Scarlet Belle spent a few days working on tracks for their debut record with writer/producer Heather Bright.

Gospel group Trinitee 57 tracked vocals in Studio A with producer Lashon Daniels. The girls are up for a Grammy this year for best contemporary Gospel Album.

The fall has started out with some interesting sessions.

Electro-Pop group Peter Bjorn and John spent a few days writing new material in Studio A.

Producers Ted Mason and Janko R. are busy completing an ambitious world music record for singer and comedian Sandra Bernhard. A witch doctor even made an appearance to lay down some vocals.

R and B/Hip Hop producer Carlos McKinney spent a few days in Studios A and B writing material for various artists.

Legendary mixer Tommy Uzzo worked in studio A on the SSL 9000 J mixing projects Cunnie Williams and RimK.

This was our second summer in our new location and we had some great sessions.

Artist/Producer D. Smith camped out in both Studio A and B writing and tracking material for his solo debut. Anthony “Rocky” Gallo engineered the sessions.

John Legend spent a lot of time in Studio A writing and producing for various artists on his label Home School Records, including Estelle who is finishing up her debut record.

Singer Solange Knowles and producer Q-Tip tracked in Studio B for her new record.

Guitar phenom Robert Randolph did some tracking in Studio A with Rocky Gallo.

Writer/Producer/Artist Heather Bright spent time in both rooms tracking and writing material for a variety of major artists. This girl can do it all and is getting lots of buzz, keep your ears open for Heather.

Other notable sessions were Simon LeBon (Duran Duran), Sean Kingston, Travis Barker (formerly of Blink182) and producer Dave Tozer.

We mixed a new album for Lez Zeppelin.The legendary Eddie Kramer was behind the boards mixing on the SSL 9000J.

John Legend‘s new label Home School spent a few weeks writing and tracking for a few of their newly signed acts. John and producer Craig Street spent time in both studio A and B working with the artists Estelle and Lizz Wright.

Gavin DeGraw worked with Producer Dennis Herring for a week on pre-production for Gavin’s new album.

Producer Sam Spiegel worked in Studio A with engineer Anthony “Rocky” Gallo on some tracks with Nina Persson of the Cardigans.

New Sony BMG artist King Reign worked in both Studios A and B with engineer Anthony “Rocky” Gallo.

Our new mastering wing at the Cutting Room continues to flourish. We have been consistently booked out with major and indy artists. Recent mastering sessions include Twisted Black, Switchfoot, Jetlag Gemini, Beasts Of Eden and Charlie Hunter.

Acclaimed songwriter Angela Hunte worked in Studio A for a week on tracks for various artists.

Producer Diesel worked in Studio B for a few weeks with Universal France artist Cunnie Williams on tracks for his new album.

Engineer Steve Mac mixed the score for the upcoming film American Gangster scored by Hank Shocklee of Public Enemy fame.

Also seeing time were comedy act Flight of the Conchords as seen on HBO, Def Jam artist Chrisette Michelle, as well as Sony acts Sean Kingston and Ray Cash.
