Alt-J
Cambridgeshire-based basement-born experimental folk quartet Alt-J stopped by The Cutting Room Studios to record a live set for broadcast over KEXP radio. Think Radiohead gone acoustic, with a trip-hop flare, the crew played four tracks off their debut album An Awesome Wave, including KEXP Song of the Day Fitzpleasure. Released in the UK in May of 2012 via Infectious Music, the enigmatic ‘folk-step’ LP drops state-side with Canvasback Music September 18 2012. Check out some photos from the live sessions below, and stream the full live set at kexp.org!
