Joseph Colmenero
Emmy & Latin Grammy nominated engineer Joseph Colmenero has been working with The Cutting Room since 2008. He got his start with Latin artists such as Selena, Freddy Fender, and Jennifer Peña while living in South Texas. Moving to New York City quickly became a first call engineer for artists like the RZA of Wu-Tang Clan, as well as countless indie labels. With over a decade of diverse audio engineering, Joseph has a list of Oscar, Emmy, and Grammy winning post production projects. In 2019, he hit a home run mixing Lil Tecca’s hit “Ransom,” which went gold/platinum in 10+ countries. Following the track, Joseph worked on Tecca’s album and was interviewed by Sound on Sound Magazine. Some of his other recent credits range from Cardi B, Post Malone, Lil Yachty and J Balvin to productions for Hulu, Netflix, and much more.
Zukye ARdella
Zukye Ardella is a New York City based producer and engineer. She began her professional career producing and engineering projects for local and indie artists in 2013 then eventually moved on to working with label artists such as Princess Nokia, Lil Tecca, Kyrie Irving, 2Milly, Phresher, Fred The Godson and Manolo Rose in 2016. After years of working at numerous professional studios around the city, Zukye joined The Cutting Room team in 2019. Zukye has a remarkable level of versatility. Her experiences as a producer gives her the ability to assist with anything from additional vocal production and arrangement to assistance with details such as drum programming and sequencing. Zukye’s diverse experiences as an engineer give her the ability to adapt to all genres of music, work flows and personalities.
Rob O’Leary
Rob O’Leary is Manhattan based staff engineer who has been with The Cutting Room since graduating from Full Sail University in 2015. Having also attended Dubspot, Rob has a unique background in both engineering and production, delivering inspired musical experiences and seamless hospitality. Not long after joining The Cutting Room as an intern, he started assisting sessions for clients such as Cardi B, Post Malone, Zayn Malik and would start running his own sessions with Princess Nokia, SOPHIE, The Read (podcast), Leslie Odom Jr, Daymond John, RZA, and more. In addition to his work in the studio, Rob is highly active as a DJ at popular NYC venues, such as House of Yes & Bushwick Boat. Cameron PErry
Classical musician turned recording engineer Cameron Perry has been with us since 2017. After graduating in trombone performance at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Cameron pivoted towards engineering, attending the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences. Since then he’s developed a strong credit list of both musicians and film/TV clients. Cam earned his first gold credits last year on Alan Walker’s “Darkside” and DJ Mustard’s “On God” featuring A$AP Ferg, A$AP Rocky, Tyga and YG. In addition to his music credits, Cameron has engineered audiobook and voiceover sessions for actors such as David Schwimmer, James Earl Jones, Lucy Hale, and more. He recently became a key recording engineer for the first season of The CW’s series Katy Keene.
